The 2010 CID-FFT Symposium provides the only national and international forum on operational and technical challenges facing our Nation and the warfighter in combat identification and friendly force tracking.  As a Nation embroiled with our Coalition Partners on two fronts in Irregular Warfare/Counter Insurgency Operations, we must maximize every effort to safeguard American and coalition troops and innocent non-combatants on the ever-widening battlefield.  The 2010 CID-FFT will work toward furthering these goals.

The symposium begins on Monday, 28 June at the Newport News Marriott at City Center by offering an excellent mix of tutorials. The symposium will feature a trade show of approximately 50 exhibits from the United States Government and industry, as well as NATO and Coalition partners, opening Monday evening at a kickoff reception. Tuesday morning will feature an impressive lineup of Plenary Session speakers from the Services, JFCOM, OSD and NATO, followed by technical presentations Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday and will conclude on Thursday, 1 July.

Symposium Background

The CID-FFT Symposium is a Joint event, held every 12-18 months, with responsibility rotating among the Services. The CID-FFT is the new name for the Combat Identification Systems Conference (CISC), which was held for over a quarter of a century.
