The Composite & Hybrid Materials’ Branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory asks that you mark your calendar for the Hybrids Workshop which will be held at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Folouis Hall of Building 146 on May 25-26, 2010. The purpose of this event is to provide a discussion forum on the Hybrid Material challenges and opportunities facing Air Force Systems by communicating our current investment and interaction with leaders in the field. In addition, we hope to enhance interaction and collaboration between government, industry, and academia in order to maximize the impact of Hybrid Materials on our research & development programs. Through this event, the services will also gain a better understanding of the capabilities of industry, and an enhanced connection to highly relevant programs in the academic world. Hybrid Materials has the potential to profoundly change many of the critical aspects of maintaining a technologically superior defense capability for the United States. Leadership in Hybrid Materials’ research and development is therefore critical to maintaining our technological edge in national defense.
