Poster
Session
New for 2009!
The conference this year will be held at the ITAR and US
Only Level, therefore public release is not required for
poster presentations.
We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for the
Poster Session at the NanoTechnology for Defense
Conference.
The deadline for Poster submissions is 20 Feb 2009.
Posters submissions should support one or more of the
technical sessions of the conference. Upon receipt, poster
submissions will be reviewed by the conference chairs and
authors will be notified of the selection results within 2
weeks. Posters will be located in the exhibit hall and will
be on display all hours that the exhibit hall is open. All
authors will have a 4 foot by 4 foot space to post their
material.

Rules of Engagement for Poster Authors
If you can not set up your poster by Monday the 6th
, you will not be able to post your material.

If you are academia or industry, you must have
a DD2345 certification number on file. Certification number must be
submitted to Ms. Sherry Johnson,
Sherilyn.johnson@gdit.com
by 23 March 2009.

Each poster presenter will email a JPG file
(150 dpi minimum) of your photo for your Conference badge to Ms.
Sherry Johnson,
Sherilyn.johnson@gdit.com no later than 23 March 2009. Subject line of
your email should read: "NTDC Badge Photo" and the attached file
should be named "lastname_Your firstname.jpg".

Poster Abstracts will be included in the Final
Program and the Proceedings. If you would like to modify your
abstract that was submitted, e-mail your revised abstract to
Sandy.Miller@wpafb.af.mil
by 13 March 2009.

Register for the NanoTechnology for Defense
Conference online at
www.usasymposium.com/nano/ by 23 March 2009. Poster presenters
are not automatically registered for the symposium. There is no
registration fee; however, all poster authors need to register
online in order to hold your poster paper slot.

Hotel reservations must be made by 3 April 2009
at Hyatt Regency Airport Hotel, 1-650-347-1234 or 1-800-233-1234. Be
sure to mention you are with the NanoTechnology for Defense
Conference to secure your room at per diem $190.

Poster presenters will check-in at the NTDC
registration desk prior to set-up.

During set-up and tear-down all poster
presenters entering the hall must have a NTDC registration badge.

Each accepted poster will have a 4x4ft
space to post their material.
Please account for a one inch border in your 4 x 4 space (meaning
your presentation space is actually 4 x 4 minus one inch all the way
around). If you choose to post individual pages this will
accommodate approximately 16 to 20 – 8 ½ x 11 pages.

Poster presenters will set-up between the hours
of 1100 – 1630, Monday, 6 April 2009. Posters must be in place for
the Kick-off that evening.

Any posters remaining after tear-down will be
thrown away unless other arrangements have been made with
Sandy.Miller@wpafb.af.mil.

The NTDC Planning Committee reserves the right
to cancel any poster space for misrepresentation of information.

The NTDC planning committee reserves the right
to refuse any poster if it does not meet the standards required or
expected, as well as the right to curtail posters that reflect
against the character of the Conference.
Note: By
submitting a poster abstract you are acknowledging that you
have read the “Rules of Engagement for Poster Authors” and
you will adhere to them.
