to participate in the 2008 Responsive Access to Space Technology Exchange (RASTE), May 19-23 in Dayton, Ohio at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The 2008 Responsive Access to Space Technology Exchange (RASTE) brings key members of the space community together providing opportunity to share, exchange and transition technology to be used in the next generation space launch vehicles. By establishing and fostering this open exchange of information between engineers, developers, planners, and managers in the community, RASTE promotes collaboration accelerating the development of the emerging commercial space launch industry.
RASTE Forum Format
The RASTE
targets technologies that will be ready for transition within the next two
years (Technology Readiness Level (TRL) for the technology is 4 to 6).
Commencing with a Plenary Session open to all attendees, followed by
technical sessions, as well as closed-door opportunities for discussion
between small and large business, RASTE
includes discussion of the following technologies: Responsive Launch Space
Vehicle Materials and Material Testing & Processing Technologies, Responsive
Launch Space Vehicle Propulsion Technologies, Responsive
Launch Space Vehicle Integration Technologies, Integrated System Health
Management Guidance and Control,
and Responsive Launch Space Vehicle System Integrators. Technical tours at
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
will also be offered. Tour dates are Monday, May 19 and Friday, May 23.
Attendees participating in the closed door discussions may be asked to sign
non-disclosure agreements.

Attendance at the RASTE is restricted to US citizens and permanent residents (Green Card Holders) ONLY. Conference material is ITAR and Military Critical Restricted in accordance with DoD directive 5230.5 under the provisions of Public Law 98-94, “Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1984,” Section 1217, Sept 24, 1983 and is not available to the general public.
