Please note not only is the SCTC group block at the Albuquerque Hotel sold out, but the hotel is completely sold out on some of the days of the Conference.
Please follow these steps for making a hotel reservation for the conference. It is imperative that you make your reservation now. If you don’t make a reservation now, you may have to stay at a hotel that will require rental of a car or use of a taxi to travel from a hotel to the Conference.
- Call the Hotel Albuquerque and request your name be placed on a waiting list. If rooms become available, the hotel will contact you to make your reservation. To contact the hotel, please call the Hotel directly at 1-505-843-6300 or 1-800-237-2133 or 1-866-505-STAY (7829). You must identify yourself as members of the Group to be on the waiting list.
- After placing your name on the waiting list at Hotel Albuquerque, contact the Best Western Rio Grande at 1-800-959-4726. The Best Western is the only hotel within walking distance to the Hotel Albuquerque. The Best Western as of 27 August has 20 rooms available at $81 USD per night plus tax and 20 rooms available at $91.99 USD per night plus tax. You must identify yourself as an attendee of the Spacecraft Charging Technology Conference to receive these rates.
You should have no problem cancelling a reservation at the Best Western and taking a room at the Hotel Albuquerque if rooms become available AS LONG AS YOU CANCEL THE BEST WESTERN RESERVATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THAT HOTEL’S CANCELLATION POLICY.
The Hotel Albuquerque is both the Conference venue and the Conference hotel.
The reservation cut-off date for the Group is Monday, September 6, 2010.
The Group room rate is prevailing Government Per Diem, currently $81 per single/double room plus room tax, currently 12.625%.

For individuals to receive the established Group rate, they must identify themselves as members of the Group initially when making the reservation. All reservations must be received by the Group’s cut-off date and guaranteed with a one night’s deposit in the form of check, money order or credit card.
The hotel will extend the Prevailing Government Per Diem rate, currently $81.00 Sgl/ Dbl. This rate is subject to change at the Direction of the General Services Administration. Rates are exclusive of state and local taxes. The hotel on a space available and rate available basis will accept sleeping rooms requested on dates other than those listed above. Current room tax is 12.625%. The guestroom rate will be extended for guests arriving & departing three days pre/ post conference dates, based on availability.
Please note: The Hotel maintains a twenty-four hour (24 hour) cancellation policy for individual guest room reservations.
