Exhibit Space is Sold Out.      

Advance purchase of space for the 2014 event will be available on-site at this year’s Expo.  We hope to see you then.

If you conduct business in the Bakken, or hope to in the future, or you have a product or service for those working in the Bakken, then the Bakken Oil Workers & Oil Service Expo exhibit hall is for you.  Exhibitors are also welcome who wish to bring products and services of interest to Bakken oil workers, such as all-terrain vehicles, survival and cold weather equipment, camping and RV supplies, outdoor gear & clothing, internet providers for gear, food and supplies, etc.

Exhibit space is available for over 600 indoor exhibitors, and more than 600 outdoor exhibitors.  Companies may sign up for both indoor and outdoor space – you are not limited to just one or the other.  Exhibitors will be organized in two primary categories with sub-category sections.

INDOOR EXHIBIT SPACE

The earlier you sign up, the earlier you can pick you booth location.

  • 10’ x 10’ booths - $999 by May 15, 2013, $1299 after May 15, 2013.  This includes pipe/drape, table, 2 chairs, waste basket,  1 reception ticket and 6 expo passes.  Each expo pass is good for one day.  All exhibit workers and set-up crew must have expo passes to access the show.  50% of revenue for all additional expo passes purchased will be donated to a local charity.

  • Bulk Space – 1000 sq ft minimum.  $7 per sq ft if purchased by May 15, 2013, $8 per sq ft if purchased after May 15, 2013.  Bulk space comes with  1 reception ticket and 6 expo passes. Each expo pass is good for one day.  All exhibit workers and set-up crew must have expo passes to access the show.  50% of revenue for all additional expo passes purchased will be donated to a local charity.

OUTDOOR EXHIBIT SPACE

Outdoor floor plan will be posted soon.

  • Bulk Space – 500 sq ft minimum.  $6 per sq ft if purchased by May 15, 2013, $7 per sq ft if purchased after May 15, 2013.  Bulk space comes with  1 reception ticket and 6 expo passes.  Each expo pass is good for one day.  All exhibit workers and set-up crew must have expo passes to access the show.  50% of revenue for all additional expo passes purchased will be donated to a local charity.

  • The date and fee structure are firm.  For fees to apply, they must be received by the accompanying dates. Registration alone does not guarantee that rate.
  • Cancellations prior to 1 March 2013 will result in a refund of paid exhibit fee minus a $75 processing fee.  No refunds for exhibit cancellations will be granted after 1 March 2013.
  • Exhibit check-in is required at the Bakken registration desk prior to set-up. This is located in the Main Lobby of the North Dakota State Fair Center.
  • Each paid 10’ x 10’ booth or single bulk space will receive six complimentary expo passes and 1 reception pass.  Expo passes are good for one person for one day.  All booth workers must have expo passes on show days to get in, no exceptions.  Additional passes may be purchased for $5 per expo pass.  Additional reception passes are $50.
  • Show management reserves the right to cancel any exhibit space for misrepresentation of products or nonpayment of exhibit fees due for space rental.   Show management reserves the right to refuse applications or require exhibitors to adjust exhibited materials if they do not meet the standards required or expected, as well as the right to curtail exhibits that reflect against the character of the Expo or are deemed inappropriate in nature.  This applies to displays, literature, advertising novelties, souvenirs, conduct of person, etc. and is at the sole discretion of Show Management.
  • Exhibitor is prohibited from distributing literature, souvenirs, or other items from outside the boundaries of their booth space and other items other than the Exhibitor’s own materials unless Exhibitor has obtained Show Management’s prior written approval.  Exhibitor is prohibited from taking photographs of other exhibits or other aspects of the Expo without Show Management’s prior written approval.  Exhibitors may photograph only their own booth(s).
  • Exhibitors must man their booths during all show hours.
  • If any of Exhibitor’s space remains unoccupied on closing day of set-up, Exhibitor shall be deemed to have abandoned such space.  Thereafter, Show Management shall have the right to rent such space to any other exhibitor, or use such space in any other manner as Show Management deems necessary, in its sole discretion, without any obligation to Exhibitor.  This section shall not be construed as affecting the obligation of Exhibitor to pay the full amount specified in the Agreement for space rental.
  • Exhibitors may not tear down early.  A penalty fee of $1500 will charged to any exhibitor that tears down early without written permission from Show Management and exhibitor will be barred from participating in future shows.
  • Show information and updates will be provided via email or on-line and will be sent to the designated contact.  If the on-site show contact is different from the pre-show contact, a name and contact information for the on-site show contact is required.  Designation of an onsite POC is required to ensure important show information is disseminated to the individuals that are staffing the booths.  
  • The indoor exhibit area will be locked and a watchman placed on duty when the area is not open to the public. An outdoor guard will be on duty during off-show hours to roam the outdoor exhibit space.  However, exhibitors should secure, at their own expense, appropriate liability/loss insurance and provide reasonable security for equipment and displays. The Bakken Planning Committee, Blue 52 Productions, LLC, Exhibit Services, the security company, and the North Dakota State Fair Center will not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage whatsoever to exhibitor or exhibitor supplied equipment during any part of the expo or during set-up and tear-down.  It is agreed that exhibitors shall indemnify and exempt Blue 52 Productions, LLC, its officers and staff, the Bakken Planning Committee, Paramount Convention Services, the security company, the North Dakota State Fair Center from all personal and property loss of liability which may arise from fire, lighting, smoke, strike, riot, and civil commotion, or any other cause and condition beyond their control.  The exhibitor expressly waives all claims for any loss, damage, or injury.
  • All exhibitors are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance to participate in the upcoming Expo.  For the term of the Agreement, Exhibitor shall at all times maintain insurance sufficient to cover the liabilities of Exhibitor under the Agreement for the duration of the Exhibition, set-up, and tear-down.  The certificate needs to show that the exhibitor has at least $1 million in General Liability, Automobile Liability and Worker's Compensation.  Additionally the coverage should state: Paramount Convention Services, Inc., Bakken Oil Workers & Oil Service Expo, Blue52 Production, LLC, North Dakota State Fair Center, and employees of each company shall be provided coverage as additional insureds under contractor’s General Liability policy.  You may list Blue52’s address in the Certificate Holder field: Blue52 Productions, LLC. 2312 Far Hills Ave, PMB#339 Dayton, OH  45419
  • Force Majure.  In the event that the Expo hall or outdoor expo space is damaged or destroyed by fire, flood, or any other cause or circumstance that makes it unreasonably difficult for Show Management to permit Exhibitor to occupy the assigned space during any part or the whole of the Expo, then during such circumstances, Show Management, the State Fairgrounds Management, and their respective privies will be released and discharged from the obligation to supply space, and Exhibitor will be reimbursed for proportionate share of the booth rental previously received by Blue 52 Productions from Exhibitor.  Blue 52 Productions reserves the right to cancel, re-name, or relocate the Expo or change the dates on which it is held in such circumstances.  If Blue 52 Productions reschedules show within 30 days or a 2 hour drive of Minot, no refund will be due Exhibitor and Blue 52 Productions will assign the Exhibitor a new space.  In such case, Exhibitor agrees to use such space under the terms of this agreement.

These rules and regulations together with the application and payment constitute the entire agreement.
