NFCS Women’s Forum (Open to Women Attendees Only)

A Panel Discussion on Women in Science and Engineering

The first NFCS Women’s Forum panel discussion and luncheon will be held on Tuesday, 3 August, immediately following the Plenary Session.  The theme of this event is “Navigating Your Career:  Women in Science and Engineering.”

The Women’s Forum will feature a panel four highly successful women with a keen awareness of the technical, organizational and leadership challenges and opportunities for women with responsibilities in the area of national fire control.  Panelists will bring to the forum their expertise across a variety of programs and the acquisition cycle, and represent views from the military, government and industry perspective.

The panelists will discuss experiences and perspectives from their own careers in science and engineering, the dynamics of advancing in the technical and business environment, the kind of challenges women uniquely face in achieving their goals, and how to capitalize on opportunities and strategies for career success.  Time will be included in the program for women in the audience to ask specific questions of the panelists.
