New Mexico History Museum Sunday, April 3 2016
The New Mexico History Museum, opened in May 2009, will change the way that New Mexicans and visitors understand state history and the history of the nation. The new museum includes permanent and temporary exhibitions that span the early history of indigenous people, Spanish colonization, the Mexican Period, and travel and commerce on the legendary Santa Fe Trail.
The museum serves as the anchor of a campus that encompasses the Palace of the Governors, the Palace Press, the Fray Angelico Chavez History Library and Photo Archives.
The New Mexico History Museum is located within walking distance to the La Fonda Hotel.  Admission to the Museum is $9.

Wednesday 6 April 2016 HPLA Dinner with Entertainment 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Please plan to join your colleagues for dinner and entertainment on Wednesday 6 April 2016 at 6:30 pm. The event will kick off with Poster Paper Awards Ceremony and will be followed by dinner, entertainment and dancing. Dinner tickets are included with the registration fee. Guest tickets can be purchased for $70 in advance. The event will take place in the La Terraza Room and the Garden Patio at La Fonda.

Savor is an acoustic group of guitar/ doubling mandolin, bass and percussion with vocals and harmonies that create a rich sound. They play Cuban and Latin music with Afro-Cuban rhythms.

Thursday 7 April 2016 Discovery Tour of Santa Fe and Networking Dinner
On Thursday, 7 April 2016 HPLA/DE participants have the opportunity to take a Discovery Walking Tour of Santa Fe. The tour will feature some history of the ancient city, unique architecture and one or two ghost stories about the city's most famous inhabitants. Attendees will meet in the La Fonda lobby around 5:30 for the commencement of the tour. This tour will last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours and will cost $15 per person. You may sign up for the tour during registration. If you have already registered, please contact Amy Walker at awalker@blue52productions.com to get signed up today. Please sign up by March 15th to reserve your spot.

After the tour, join your colleagues for a wonderful meal at one of Santa Fe's fabulous restaurants. Dinner is open to all attendees following the tour, regardless of whether you participated in the tour or not. Reservations will be made for 7:30 pm at the following restaurants. You will select your choice during the registration process. If you have already registered for the conference and want to add in attendance for the tour or dinner, please contact Amy Walker at awalker@blue52productions.com to secure your spot. Attendees are responsible for the cost of their dinner (this is not included in the tour fee).
