Visit Requests

The National Fire Control Symposium (NFCS) will be held at the SECRET/NOFORN level. Attendees must be a U.S. citizen and possess a FINAL SECRET clearance in order to attend. A copy of your visit request must be received through JPAS by close of business 10 July 2009.

You MUST use the information as it appears below in order for the visit request to be accepted:

Admission into the Symposium

In order to be admitted into the Symposium, you must be a U.S. citizen, send your visit request in advance showing that you possess a FINAL SECRET clearance, and be issued a 2009 NFCS Access Badge. Badges will be issued once you have met the security guidelines.

Photo ID is required at check-in. Government/Military employees can check-in using their government photo ID or CAC, or any government issued photo ID (Drivers license, passport, etc.). Non-government employees should bring a government issued photo ID (Drivers License, Passport, etc.).

Badge Photo

Your digital photo must be received no later than 31 July 2009 in order to preprint you symposium badge.

The preferred method is to upload your JPG photo file (150 dpi minimum) online when you register.  If you do not have a photo when registering, you also have the option to send it directly to Ms. Sherry Johnson, Sherilyn.johnson@gdit.com. The file name should be saved as LastName_FirstName.jpg. If Sherry does not receive your badge photo by 10 July, you will be charged a $20 fee for a photo to be taken and your symposium badge made on-site. To avoid this charge, please send your JPG photo file in advance!! Subject line of your email: Doe, John NFCS Photo

Electronic Devices

Electronic Devices

  1. Nellis AFB (Red Flag) (classified sessions): No electronic devices will be allowed into the sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, incoming and outgoing pagers or beepers, cell phones, palm pilots, blackberry, audio/visual recording devices, and photographic equipment. Briefcases and planners are also prohibited. It is recommended that you leave these items at the hotel before boarding the shuttles from the hotel. If you do bring these items, Symposium coordinators will collect them before you enter the Auditorium. Purses will be subject to a search before admittance into the Symposium sessions.
  2. Aliante Station Casino + Hotel (Unclassified Sessions, Exhibit/Poster areas): Electronic devices will be permitted into these areas, but no cameras will be allowed. Taking pictures of the exhibits and posters is prohibited. Please turn cell phones and other devises to the “manners” mode for the sessions.

Notetaking

Notetaking is prohibited except in the NFCS redbooks that will be provided at Red Flag. The notebooks will be coded with an identification number that matches an identification number on your badge. When leaving the auditorium, you must turn the notebook back in to the security staff. All notebooks will be shipped to attendees working in a cleared facility with storage capability at the close of the Symposium.
