Eligibility

The National Fire Control Symposium (NFCS) will be held at the SECRET//NOFORN level. Attendees must be a U.S. citizen and possess a FINAL SECRET clearance in order to attend. Visit requests will be required.

Visit requests for the National Fire Control Symposium (NFCS 2018) will be processed through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). A copy of your visit request must be received through JPAS by close of business Friday, 26 January 2018.

NFCS Badge Photo

Badges will be issued once you have met the security guidelines and have produced one of the following forms of photo identification onsite

  1. Driver's License.
  2. Passport.
  3. Current Government/Military ID.

Please email a JPG file (150 dpi minimum) of your photo for your Symposium badge to Ms. Sherry Johnson, sjohnson@blue52productions.com. Photos taken onsite will incur a $20 fee. To avoid this charge, send your JPG photo file in advance or upload online when registering!

Electronic Devices

No electronic devices will be allowed into the technical sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, health monitoring devices (such as FitBits and smart watches), incoming and outgoing pagers or beepers, cell phones, palm pilots, blackberry, audio/visual recording devices, and photographic equipment. Briefcases, purses and planners are also prohibited. It is recommended that you leave these items in your car or in your hotel room. If you do bring these items, Symposium coordinators will collect them before you enter the auditorium and you may pick them up upon exiting. The conference will not be liable for lost or damaged items.

Notetaking

Notetaking in the technical sessions is prohibited except in the NFCS notebooks that will be provided on-site. When leaving the auditorium, you must turn the notebook back in to the security staff. All notebooks will be shipped to attendees at the close of the Symposium.
